Voter Facilitator 1.1.4

CEO’s Office Manipur has introduced an Android-based application named Voter Facilitator.

Benefits:

1. Average Queue Waiting Time: Voters can now check the average queue waiting time at their polling station before heading out to cast their votes. The calculation is based on real-time data provided by polling officers on the day of polling.
2. Wheelchair Service Booking Facility: Individuals aged 80 years or above, or those in the LOCO-PwD category, can conveniently book a wheelchair from their mobile devices, right from the comfort of their homes.
   • a) Booking requires a mobile number for authentication via OTP and to receive follow-up calls from election officials.
   • b) The voter must have their EPIC ready for entering into the booking service.
   • c) Once the booking is confirmed, the mobile cannot be used for another service booking within the Voter Facilitator app.
3. Postal Ballot Opting Service Facility: Voters aged 80 years or above, or in any PwD category, can choose to opt for a postal ballot in the election through their mobile devices from their homes.
   • a) The process requires a mobile number for authentication via OTP and to receive follow-up calls from election officials.
   • b) The voter must have their EPIC ready for entering into the opting service.
   • c) Once the opting service is confirmed, the mobile cannot be used for another service booking within the Voter Facilitator app.

An important detail to note is that there is a cutoff date set by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for opting for a postal ballot. Any requests made after the cutoff date will not be accepted, and the app itself will restrict any opting after this deadline. Once the opting service is confirmed, officials will contact the elector to assist in completing Form-12D according to ECI regulations.
